The top is a peacock plume fanned out in fine ribbed gold with three kundan stones at its base. Below it a tall mesh cone ends in a thick pearl cluster. The mesh is genuinely open-worked rather than stamped, which keeps the weight down at 28 grams for the pair despite the size. The most detailed of our South Indian jhumkas.
